Katrina came to our house to help make cupcakes for her mommy's birthday. The boys loved playing with her and then she got to come with me to pick up Ella. A fun surprise for Ella.

Preschool
The boys had their first day of preschool and I had my running class - OUCH. They say running outside in Texas it feels 10 degrees hotter so yep it was like 106 degrees. Its lucky for John he didn't have to bury me that day! The boys loved school and just walked off to play with toys. Christopher told me "Mom you can just do car line, you don't need to walk me in" Talk about extremes, Ella spends the morning crying and Christopher wants to be dropped off at the corner... It was so hot this week, well I say that but then I think well its hot every week here and when i wonder if it will cool off, I just have to remember my halloween experiences and have learned not to buy costumes that are warm the poor kids just drip. Oh well I do love my Texas christmas'!!!

1st day of Kindergarten
Erin and I on our first big day. Letting out babies (big kids) go off to Kindergarten. Yikes!
The boys were fascinated with the school bus and slightly intimidated by the amount of big kids... Theres more than 1200 kids at this school.
What an emotional day for me and her and daddy too. The boys were pretty sad to leave her there. Tuesday, August 18, 2009
Exterminator
When you are a parent you think if your child does anything well that they could do that as a career. So if they throw a ball well - then they will be a athlete, if they add 3 plus 3 then they are Einstein. Well today I was so proud. We were playing a game in the living room and Ella looked behind the curtain and went OHHHH. I said what? She said a baby lizard. Well I see it start to run and they are so fast but in one fell swoop Jack grabbed it. I was so proud and he was in love. So they have played with it all day. His name is Iguana bauna! So it appears that Jack will make a excellent exterminator, especially since he lovingly killed two toads this weekend.
A cute thing Ella said this week. We were passing by her room and she was "reading" her bible and she dropped it, and she says Dear Lord Jesus please forgive me for dropping your precious lovely words... She's so funny!

Peaceful!

Its been so hot here lately well actually i guess it always is hot here in the summer, but its been amusing because when we have been home this week Ella turns on Christmas music to dance to. It has not had any psychological effect on me, I am still hot. Christopher says, Hurry up get in the car before we melt. With kindergarten around the corner and life starting to pick up it pace and get back to routines my brain is in a frenzy. So with Ella in the mood for Christmas and me in the mood for peace and tranquility I have a found a room that brings this to me. My desire is to make everything white. I just want to walk in the door and be surrounded by clean white rooms. But who am I kidding, white rooms with 3 little kids. We had chocolate pudding on our green couch today, and now its our camouflage couch...

CLOSET
John and I and our wonderful helpers decided to put in closet organizers this weekend. The kids closets were just that typical boring pole with nothing and with their clothes being so small their closets were the biggest waste of space but not anymore, I will have to post a picture of the final shelving. We have everything done but not everything back in them yet. The kids loved helping... They leveled and screwed and hammered to their hearts content. Only 1 accident, Christopher hammered his finger. Happens to the best builders too!

Aug 2 2009
12 years ago I made the biggest commitment of my life. At that time I knew I was madly in love with John but had no idea what being married would mean or how it would change me. Before we were married and we had nothing no money at all, although we didn't seem to think that mattered. We thought love would be enough and you know what I realized that it is. I lucked out with John and he lucked out too!!! We have lived in 3 countries and 3 states. We have bought 2 houses, had 3 miracle babies and we have lost babies. We have had 2 dogs, a bunny, a fish, a hamster and thanks to Texas some pesky cockroaches. We have lost 3 grandparents and welcomed 2 new sister in laws. We have 2 nephews with a third on the way. We have taken some awesome vacations and had some not as fun... Together we have seen a good amount of the world. We have had 3 ambulance rides, had police pull guns on us and have used the fire department to close down a small road! By the way a new gas tank in a Ford Expedition is approx. $1000... We have laughed so hard together and we have cried so hard too. I can't imagine doing life with anyone else. John, you are more incredible than I imagined you to be and trust me my expectations were HIGH.... Happy 12th Anniversary I love you!
