PLANNING

So I have been struggling with planning Ella's party. I just don't know what to do. Her birthday falls on Memorial day weekend so lots of places are already booked. At home parties are a lot of work and she has no idea what she wants... Any suggestions??? I have 3 weeks still so plenty of time to figure it all out. Now if I could just stop rearranging my house!
Such a great dog. These kids love him and I think they would be so sad without him. Me too, I guess!!!
A picture from the weekend with Daddy... They love to help and he likes the exercise, keeps him in shape without a gym.

Block Party

We had a little party in the cul de sac tonight and had fun with our friends. Cute kids all over the place.
We went to the zoo this week with Tyler, Erin, Ryan, Jennifer and Michael. It may be awhile before we do it again. Its Texas and its warming up nicely. HOT and HUMID Trying to get the three of them to look in the same direction was just to big of a feat for me. I tried so kudos to me!

I had better luck with this one, I was pumping gas and they co operated a bit better!

They were holding hands all three, too cute. I was actually driving shhhh, don't tell anyone. That explains why Ella isn't actually in the photo just her hand. I am women Watch me multi task!!!!!!!!!!!
Its been hot in Texas. The kids are literally living in their bathing suits. Here they are cute as a button.
Jack is so fun, I am absolutely loving this stage. Welcome terrific twos. I disagree with the terrible twos. Actually I will let you know in a year if I still think that.
Isn't he adorable.

DECK

Well I know I have been slipping at the blog, you all have told me!!! John has been around but also life has been crazy. It seems more hectic lately than normal. A couple weeks ago we found out devasting news that one of our friends has cancer. They are going to beat it but it has just thrown me for a loop. You can all pray for Brian. It's really been quite unsettling news. This hits a little close to home for John - our cancer survivor and amazing husband. He has always said that now looking back he is glad he went through it because he believes it has really strengthened him. To that I replied that unfortunately it seems that the character building exercise really isn't necessary since he and Brian already have incredible character, patience and faith.

So it seems that time has slipped by and I know the family is due some pictures.

We got a new deck. Yeah I am so excited, so I will post those pics first. I can't believe we lived without one, I have had it not even 24 hours, actually its not even completely finished but I LOVE IT. We are going to put some bushes and flowers between the house and the deck so it will pretty it up...which is why there is a gap there. The kids think its great and since we are constantly outside its going to be FANTASTIC!,
Typically you don't think of water when building a deck but you will get a lot of it if you dig through a well positioned sprinkler system. No problem for our handy men - they just duct taped it all up and kept building. Just kidding. No duct tape involved in the repair I hope!

GYMNASTICS

Ella is so proud of herself. She loves to flip around the "monkey bars" as she calls them. I took some video she was doing great. The second flip didn't land quite as well which is why the camera shuts off quickly. But don't be concerned she didn't bat an eye and she was pleased with her moves...

Girly Girls

Ella had a girl playdate. She was pretty excited. It was pretty quiet for the most part once we got Jack and Christopher to bed...

Today Ella told me that she would like me to take her to Austraila for her birthday. No small present!!! So I said yes thats a great idea. Ask Daddy.

We went to bible study this morning and I am taking Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible. Should be fun. Lisa, Bobby, Jennifer and Michelle are in my class so all the good girls I know!

Here some pictures of the kids...

Happy April Fools.

I love April 1st. Always have and when the kids get older I am going to come up with a great prank... So stay tuned. Obviously we are not selling our house today but you never know with us it could be days or years... And his job is the same, we could live in Houston for decades or be transfered tomorrow so I wasn't totally lying...
Here are my cute kids... At some point the boys are not going to want to play princess dress up and do ballet but as of now they think this is fun so here my princess and princes are...

Ella said some really funny things today... She informed me last week that since Daddy is away she gets to sleep with me. She says "You know the rules mommy" Well tonight I was putting her to bed and she started into the whole I don't want to go to sleep, I'm not tired, I'm scared. So I tell her that she doesn't need to fear... The conversation goes like this...

Ella: I'm scared of being in my room alone

Mom: Mommy is downstairs and you are safe. If you feel scared pray to God.

Ella: I can't

Mom: Why not, he has angels that keep us safe

Ella: I don't actually believe in angels mommy, so I should probably just sleep with you until I do!!!

Well she eventually gave in but I did have a good laugh.

She got a time out this afternoon and was throwing quite a fit saying Please mommy I need you. On and on she went for 3.5 minutes. I went to get her and low and behold she had thrown up. I said Ella why did you throw up, is your tummy upset. No Mommy I was worried you would never forgive me. GIVE ME A BREAK. That girl can work it!
