John and my parents get along fantastic which is really a huge blessing, so he lovingly mocks my mom and she banters back and so it goes with them. Well a couple years ago he affectionately coined the term Hurricane Hoys. When Grandma and Grandpa Hoy come to visit it like a hurricane blows through. They show up with loot and we shop and renovate and return and renovate some more and eat out!!! This visit was no different other than it was shorter than most, so very sad for us but not for my bank account. Here are some pics of us during their stay. I will have to take a photo of our powder room because John and my dad completely redid it. Awesome work boys!
Isn't my baby gorgeous? She is cuddly and soft and dressed in bows the perfect baby and the best part is she feeds herself and can be left unattended! Thats my kind of 4th child.

FAMILY
This spring break we had my cousins come stay with us. Paula and Kaitlyn came and the kids were in heaven. They love having guests and even more so when those guests come bearing presents and play Wii. I took the girls to Dallas with Erin and I where we did some shopping and then during the week we tried to do some sightseeing. Houston has the annual rodeo in town so we went to that and it was pretty fun.
You can't come visit us without a trip to Lupes, our favorite Mexican restaurant here. We loved having the girls and hopefully they will come visit again...

HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY
My kids love something to celebrate. For weeks now Jack has been putting his Easter basket by the front door in hopes Easter will come earlier than planned. Every morning he wakes up and says Nope the bunny didn't come. You can't help but feel sorry him. Today the kids were thrilled when I mentioned it was St. Patricks day. We headed over to Walmart to get some streamers and decorations. I looked online for activities which involved rainbows, shamrocks and rock painting.
We did it all and had so much fun. They love to celebrate!

Rodeo Day
A great thing about living in Houston is the annual Rodeo. The schools all celebrate the rodeo with games and parties and it was fun, here are some pictures.
HALF
Erin and I have been training for our first half marathon. This past weekend we drove to Dallas and ran the Inaugural Dallas Rock n Roll half marathon. It was great and I finished in 2 hours and 1 minute. I think the greatest thing about the whole experience other than getting new running shoes was realizing how great my husband and kids are. John watched the kids without compaint every weekend while I went for my long runs and my kids cheered me on relentlessly. He set his alarm at 5 am plenty of times to wake me up so I could get a run in. They all encouraged me and I am so glad they were proud of me! I was proud of me too!

GOLD
Our house was pretty excited watching the Olympics. The kids thought it was awesome. The big event for us was the final Hockey game and our house was loud shouting GO CANADA GO!
We won and were thrilled!
