Merry Christmas

We had such a great Christmas. Ella is at a great age to enjoy everything about the holidays. I made a movie of our Christmas pictures so you could see some of the fun we had.
My parents came to celebrate with us in early December and we went to Seaworld San Antonio and then John's parents, David and Barb came for the actual holiday. We loved seeing our families and the memories the kids have being with them.

Bear Birthday Party

We love parties in this house so today makes no exception. John and I took the kids to chic fil a for lunch and while there they were given some balloons so this meant that when we got home we must have a party. We had the essential ingredients, 3 happy kids and 3 balloons. All we were missing was cake. No problem there, I made brownies and Katrina came over and voila instant party. Here is some photos of the kids singing happy birthday to all their babies and bears...

ELF ON THE SHELF

The kids have a mailbox that sits downstairs and if they get Christmas mail, treats or surprises I put the flag up and they get so excited to check their mail. Well it has been such a hit that now everyday it seems they get something little. Ella wants to know how Santa gets the presents there. Well this morning I am lying in bed and I hear Ella say - WE GOT MAIL!!! Well I fly out of bed because this mail had some explanation needed. In their mailbox was an Elf that they named Freddie. He is our Elf sent by Santa to watch the kids and make sure they are behaving nicely. Every night he reports to Santa and then comes back to our house but he's always in a new location and they have to try and find him. He can't talk to them and they can't touch him - but he can listen to them and watch them.
Well they are completely into and they wave to him and smile and i am in the kitchen and I hear HI FREDDIE.. Well its a cute idea, and we will see where he decides to hide tomorrow...

We are off to the Polar Express today and I have a cookie exchange in 1 hour that I haven't made 6 dozen cookies for, we will see how I pull this off.

TINKERBELL

Today we had Ella's Christmas play at school and she was the most beautiful angel ever!!! Jack calls Angels Tinkerbell. We have an Angel stocking holder and Christopher dropped it and Jack tells me often - Christopher broke Tinkerbell. I say Jack its an Angel, no mommy Tinkerbell. So I just can't look at an Angel without smiling... Jack is so sweet! So he was proud of his angel sister Tinkerbell Ella. He loves to dress up and always says he's Tinkerbell, Ella has finally let the argument rest. She used to get so fired up NO JACK its Cinderella or JACK NO ITS NOT TINKERBELL, Mom Jack thinks everyone is Tinkerbell and on and on she would go - now its just Jack - here's a Tinkerbell costume.

Way to let it go Ella.... She has John's easy personality.

She has another one of his traits. Today the teacher gave Ella a present and told her to wait till Christmas to open it, naturally I say Ella it's OK if you want to have it you can open it today. No she says Mommy I want to wait to Christmas to be surprised. WHAT whose child is this????
Anyways so John has filled her little ears with all this nonsense about Mommy sneaks and peaks and now she is hiding everything from me. Not to worry, she's not dealing with an amateur. I am a veteran and she goes to bed early. If I have a present in this house I will find it and open it... Buyer Beware!

Here is a small portion of the play...
